In the wood, out of the way of todays wind
Couple of owls - no surprise there...
ive bumped into a couple of game birds over the years, but this one took me by surprise.....
( if you can guess what it is from this picture then let me know & i'll send you a couple of spare Selection boxes )
a big bold cock Reeves Pheasant !
shot out of the wood & i managed to digi-bin it looking into the gale force wind !
Close by a superb mixed farmland flock
A huge 140 Tree Sparrow, a similar number of Linnet, 40 each of Reed & Yellow bunting with a dozen or so Corn Bunts in too - one just escaping the attentions of a fem Sprawk !
Single Woodcocks at 3 spots today, along with Fox, Hare & Roe Deer.
Mistle Thrush singing in the wind today - local thrushes round the gardens busy too, 1 set of Blackies building, Great tit & Dippers also in fine voice.
