Thankfully a 90 min trip to look for Chiffy, paid dividends with a Chiffchaff found at the same time as a young Iceland Gull !

the 5 thrushes singing this morning - Redwings & fieldfares in a noisy mixed chorus
sadly one of the Missile Thrush being clipped by a car during an altercation with a Magpie
several species well underway with nest building:-
Long-tailed Tit a typical early builder
but Bullfinches adding the nest lining are early
