Great ! White fronted Goose

RM car park resembled a scene from the Sweeney / Minder /Professionals ( delete as appropriate ) as all manner of vehicles descended with squealing Tyres & splaying gravel....

Thankfully the majority of the local patchers managing to connect with 2 fine European White fronted Geese !
Yes ! They've finally touched down & located by that well known local bird-spotter & part time camera-man / twitcher, Mr D. Johnson.

Juvenile bird

Two birds, an adult & a youngster - the latter not giving too many clues to it's identity - rather nondescript, but very pleasing all the same.

They seemed quite settled & lasted 2 HOURS !
This is an eternity for The Freezer regulars, most stuff lasts less than 5 mins, before Otis chased, scared, harassed or breaks it's bill in the sub-strate ....

Very well received & appreciated.
A very welcome find & superb image from DJ as is customary :- WHITE FRONTED GOOSE

A nice Snipe at close range was a bonus:-

  2. Thursday morning 08:00
GC reports both having just returned with 3 Greylags
    - the only geese present on Pool 2 at the moment.
