Trilling and Spawning

A distinct rise in temperature seeing the first local Dabchicks move back onto a breeding pool last night, 2 pairs in summer plumage excitedly trilling loudly between dives - amazing sound, the first time ive heard it for about 4 months.

This morning spied our first Frog spawn of the season - we mulled over whether "it" can survive being iced over.... but couldnt remember .......?
