but they wernt alone

Bean Geese !

A nice combo of 4 grey geese
Pinky at the bottom, European White fronts in centre, a Greylag & Taiga Beans at the top.
( strangely no sign of any Canadas today)

Good nos & variety with 100+ Tree Sparrow, 75Reed Bunting, 25+Corn Bunting, 150Greenfinch, singles of Brambling & 1Waxwing over West,  2Jack Snipe at 2 sites, female Merlin, Water Rail 3 each at 2 sites, several single Woodcock off out over fields at dusk & a new local record count of 38 Gadwall

Hen Harriers seem to be loitering to the north & south of us, but our local bird has only been spied a handful of times at widely spaced locations..........
Latest :- 23rd Hooded Crow went over SW with a half dozen Carrion Crows late aftnoon.
