Hopefully young Kinghorn will be down with his sliced loaf & audio / visual equiptment to check its credentials for us ;-)
3 of the recent Barnacles are staying on with us - they are healthy & flying well, commuting back & forth with 500 Greylag ( they head SE over the reserve complex daily at dusk )
I wonder if theses are feral birds, which got "sucked in" with their wild cousins somewhere in the Teesside/NYorks area & have remained, after the other 100 or so continued on to the Solway after the strong NWesterlies abated....?
& a ring combo from an adult Herring Gull :-
