Little Owl

Football sessions in the garden produced 2 Crossbill going over would have been a superb foot-it species had i not bagged 'em yestday
At the end of the day i was free to head off up the quarry....

2 Little Owls ( # 75 ) seen straight off, with another 3 or 4 noisy close by, although no such luck with Barn & Long-eared - i stood a good while but no sight nor sound & must have just missed them turn out.

Little Owl - the most numerous & widespread of all CoDurhams owls.
75 species - so 75% of the way there....
but a winter 100 inland,  in the north-east is a pretty tall order.
