So a sluggish 10:30 start on a breezy cold day, home for 17:00, 11mile circular mixed farmland, woodland, stream, scrub & small wetland area, producing a respectable 66species including :-
Woodcock, Buzzard, Kes, Sparhawk, Willow Tit, Nuthatch, Kingfisher, Yellowhammer, Grey Partridge, Jay, Goldeneye, Tree Sparrow, Redpoll, Siskin.
Those watched in song including Dipper, Mistle Thrush & GreatTit.

Dips = Linnet, Mipit, Skylark, Golden Plover, Water Rail, Snipe, Jack Snipe, Curlew
Owls = only a single Tawny - the least said the better !
